Bulgaria resorts

Bulgaria resorts

Take your pick of any of the famous resorts along the Black Sea coast and you will soon discover that Bulgaria has some of the best holiday resorts in Europe.

In the last decade, the Bulgarian travel industry has grown in leaps and bounds and tourism now accounts for a large part of the Bulgarian economy with millions of foreign visitors making the annual trip to one of the many famous and beautiful resorts in BG.

Unlike many of the more jaded Mediterranean resorts, Bulgaria is able to offer the perfect combination of glorious scenery, cultural interest and very economical prices, and the idyllic stretch of Black Sea coastline has long been a lure for travellers seeking something truly special away from the hustle and bustle of the main cities.

In fact, some of the larger Black Sea resorts are rapidly becoming even more popular than many of the more traditional holiday destinations such as mainland Spain and the Greek Islands.

As the tourist industry in Bulgaria has continued to flourish in the last few years, several of the Black Sea resorts have expanded and construction work is still ongoing.

However, this does not detract from the sheer beauty of the place and for those seeking a peaceful retreat from everyday life, there are still plenty of opportunities to relax on a beautiful white sandy beach while life trundles by.

But despite the famous beaches and 5* resorts on offer along the Black Sea coastline, Bulgaria is not just a fabulous summer holiday destination: it can also offer plenty of entertainment during the winter months and the country has several notable ski resorts including Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo.

What makes Bulgaria resorts so special?

Bulgarian resorts are a fascinating mixture of new and old.

Modern resort hotels lie in the shadow of the brooding mountains and a short bus ride into the rural areas is like stepping back in time several hundred years.

The country is full of dramatic contrasts, which is why visitors continually return year after year to take advantage of Bulgarian hospitality.

Some even decide to make Bulgaria their permanent home!
