Bulgarian beaches - A great place for holidays with 300 hours of sunshine during summer
Black Sea Coast - Bulgarian holidays
Bulgarian beaches are a fantastic destination for Bulgarian holidays. The coast itself is inland sea between south eastern Europe and the Anatolian peninsula (Turkey) and is ultimately connected to the Atlantic Ocean via the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas and various straits.
The actual sea is very calm. It has virtually no waves or tides. This is one of the reasons it is a popular tourist destination – you can bring small children and the sea is a very safe place for swimming. It is not very salty as it is surrounded by land and the only salt water that reaches the sea comes from the River Bosporus which forms the only connection to the Mediterranean Sea.

There are many famous bulgarian beaches. The Black Sea boasts 380 kilometres of coastline and sandy bulgarian beaches including
the popular tourist destination of Sunny beach Bulgaria
The region is an important center of tourism during the summer season (May-October), drawing millions of foreign and local tourists alike and constituting one of the country's most popular tourist destinations.
Bulgarian Holidays - Costal history
Prior to 1989 the coast was internationally known as the Red Riviera. Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, however, it's nickname has been changed to the Bulgarian Riviera. The two largest cities and main seaports on the Bulgarian Riviera are Varna (third largest in the country) and Sunny Beach.(second largest in the country).

You can check out the nightlife in Sofia the Capital of Bulgaria
For me, the coast has two things which are most noticable once you scratch the surface. The first is that the tourism industry here isn't very lively during winter. You are much better off to take a ski holiday in the winter with the inexpensive and popular Bulgarian mountains. If truth be known, the coast is really a summer holiday place. If its not a summer holiday you are looking for, then Bulgaria has much more to offer, but don't book a holiday on the east coast tourist destinations. Clean beaches, safe swimming and wide sandy beaches characterise the northern Black Sea Coast with the lively town of Varna a good base from which to explore the surrounds. You can always book yourself an off-the beaten track wine tour and relax in one of Bulgaria's many charming vinyards. The wine is pretty good too!!!
