Golden Sands bulgaria or Zlatni pyasatsi; is a major seaside resort town. Golden sands is located on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, next to a national park of the same name in the reigon of Varna. 17 km north of downtown Varna, Golden Sands bulgaria is virtually connected to the city by a continuous swath of resorts and villa communities. The area is famous for the purest sand on the Black Sea coast. In Turkish times it was called Ouzounkoum - the long sands. It is a popular tourist destination, drawing many visitors from Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, Scandinavia, France, Central and Eastern Europe, the Persian Gulf, Israel, and other countries, attracted by the favourable climate, scenic landscape, and reasonable prices. A constant temperature of about 27°C throughout the summer season makes it a wonderful place for a summer holiday. Golden Sands is served by the Varna International Airport and several regular bus lines of the Varna public transit system - buses 9 and 109 connect the resort to Varna railway station, 209 and 309 connect to other areas of the city, and 409 connects to the airport via the city centre. Hot mineral water springs and lush woodlands cascading from the Frangen Plateau, forming the Golden Sands Nature Park, turn the town into one of the most popular tourist spots in Eastern Europe. There is a casino, many bars, mini- golf playground, horse-carriages and attractive carts, water slides, good conditions and equipment for practising all kinds of water sports.
